Kimberly Harris
Executive Director
Kimberly Harris has a passion for serving older adults and has demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit in her previous experiences with nonprofits and organizations serving the aging. Kimberly has a track record of strategic innovation and developing and executing compelling growth strategies. Before joining Life Story Club, she was a VP and cofounder of Health Tequity, LLC, a company that advances health equity through digital innovation and community collaboration. She has held leadership roles at an international nonprofit that supported intergenerational connections across borders, a tech startup that promotes health and wellness for mobility-impaired older adults, and a national nonprofit that supports older adults in the use of technology. She has also worked as a consultant on a variety of projects to advance digital equity, promote trauma-informed care, and support best-practices for funders in the field of aging. She is a strategic leader who is skilled in program design and development and brings along a strong national network of established relationships that will help Life Story Club advance its mission.
She currently serves as a member of the Aging Committee for the UJA-Federation of New York, as the chair of the board of directors for DigitalLIFT (a national nonprofit focused on closing the digital divide), as a champion member of the Commit to Connect Initiative of the Administration on Community Living, and an active member of aging-oriented and digital equity coalitions and working groups in multiple states. In her spare time, she works with NYC Bird Alliance coordinating the rescue and transportation of injured wild birds. She has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in sociology and anthropology from the University of Redlands and Master’s (MA) from New York University in Interdisciplinary Humanities and Social Thought, and is a PhD candidate in Reconciliation, Conflict Transformation & Peace Studies at Friedrich Schiller University.
